BOONDOCKS, South Dakota

Me thinks this picture speaks loudly by itself! now- note the tube socks. Is the wiener on the run? Also note- ketchup and mustard brows. a lot of thought went in to this wiener- scary thought, but still.

We came across this at a roadside stop in between Deadwood, Sd and Rapid City. Boondocks has a drive in and some sort of ferris wheel action.

It was raining and there was a guy polishing a car in the next drive-in stall or I wouldda gotten out and dry humped that wiener until I pissed my pants in teary laughter.

Vega$

arrival at 645ish. We cabbed it to TI and checked in. They'd convinced us that a room with a view is better and a better value than our tower deluxe room. We got up there on the 30th floor and didn't feel very special. I called down to the front and had them switch us to a Tower Deluxe room. An elevator going only to 31-36 floors, requiring a key to go up.. now that's special. The room was the exact same layout as the 30th floor "room with a strip view" but with 4foot higher ceilings. yeah. we could still see the strip- just the north view

The room itself had the most lush comforter and bedding that I've ever had at a place so far.. at least that I can remember. This trip to vegas, I'm proud to say I remember all the details.. it's not all one big drunken blur. I don't remember whether we gambled first or went straight to dinner.. but I think T sat in on some $25 BlackJack first...

Dinner Night one: Cafe BaBaReeba at the Fashion Show Mall

We ordered the marinated mushrooms, blue cheese filet, manchego and spinach stuffed shrooms, marinated manchego, calamari, Ahi Tuna Salad (not enough tuna) and I think that was all. It was definitely amazing.. as amazing as I remember!! I love Tapas I love food! I love flavor combinations and ordering everything!

Then back to TI for some gambling.... then to Winn. then to TI, Mirage, Bellagio, Caesars and the Venetian with its horrible air freshener. We bought a little gifty for Crystal's bday.. which is TODAY!!! Should be on it's way all packaged up and safely journeying to Colorado.
Vegas Vacation... Saturday:
wakey wakey... eggs and bakey..
TI's buffet was too crowded so we went over to the Mirage. YUM but hardly worth $50 for 2.
we walked the strip a bit that day- Fashion Show mall front to get T some walkin shoes at Sketcher... over to MGM and NYNY and down to Mandalay Bay. We bought tickets to the House of Blues Gospel Brunch for Sunday and went back to TI for some blackjack and then recoop from being up so late. We'd made rese's at the Social House Sushi joint at TI overlooking the Sirens of TI pirate show.

T's idea and it was a fabulous one. it was amazing sushi and nigiri!!! the fatty Tuna was the best~ so was the boxed salmon with the crunchy things... We had the best view of the sirens show! the man pirate ship was right under our table~~!! the sirens were off on the other side but the pyrotechnics blew off under our noses!!

After dinner we both bellied up to a bj table... T in the High Roller Room at TI and me at the $10 table!! We both did well.. then T did fantastic!! yay! We had our second dinner at Pho, the vietnamese place at the coffee house in TI. yum.. i had the spring rolls and t had some spectacular meat and veggie dish. It seemed like the Viet version of midwest stew, yum.
We stayed up too late and had to get up and out semi-early on Sunday for the Brunch at House of Blues
I gotta be honest. Where are my boobies in this pic? I have them.. I can see them right now, but they are hiding out somewhere in this pic. We bought the tickets right after T took this pic.
Sinday: Get up.. drink water.. take shower to ready weary eyes

The House of Blues Gospel Brunch's stage was set and so were the tables. We sat family style at long tables for about 30. Our seats were close.. table 6 seats 5 and 6. The food was great, sausages, bacon, biscuits and gravy, red beans and rice, shrimp, tortellini and this fucking peach cobbler that almost made my head pop off. yum. we sat next this rambunctious couple with champagne making ours into a mimosa brunch! ya! I'm pretty sure we saw a special show. The singer/reverend guy proposed to his girlfriend after he got all the birthday and anniversary people up on stage.

After Brunch, we took the tram thing to Excaliber and walked over to NYNY and over to MGM. We wandered in a bit and the signs were clear to buy tix for the Crazy Horse show that night. We got a 10% MGM discount and then we wandered up the strip a bit more.. the M&M store was WAY too crowded to check out and we really have no need for anything other than fun and relaxation... I donated $100 to a BJ table and $100 to the slots that day, but I got it back that night at MGM before the Crazy Horse show..

Dinner: Tram to Mirage : Samba at Mirage for Brazilian Rodizio style. They had this garlic sauce possibly made of cilantro, garlic, red chiles, oil and somethine acidic.. lemon or vinegar or something yummy!
Fried plantains, black beans n rice, glazed carrots, bread and salad with a cream sauce, hearts of palm, feta, and i don't remember whatelse..accompanied the sausage, chicken, bacon wrapped turkey, strip steak, sirloin and pork and pineapples:) yum.

Cabbed it to MGM

Crazy Horse
table 108, about 6 feet from the stage, if that. it was crazyamazing the lights shone on the girls during the scenes make it even more amazing. it is almost surreal and very sensual! Be careful about ordering a bottle of water though.. they don't tell you upfront you can get tap water... so $7 later we had a bottle of Fiji.. The "Teasing" and the mandancers were my favorite. Somehow I left the booklet they gave us in our room, but it was a memorable show.
Leavin on a Jet Plane:MONDAY

We waited on coffee for an hour and then cancelled and went to the pool at TI's kahunaville patio restaurant for food. The B'fast Burrito is about 12 eggs thick and way too much food, yet good.

I sat at a $5 table for 15 min and made $100 bucks, so I walk away happy.

We talked to the casino host who knocked our room rate to $79 less than half of our original price~ yeah!
