Country Style Pork Ribs
ok. begin at the beginning
in the bottom of a large crock:
1/2 onion - ringed
handful of shredded carrots
place on top one row of the
7 pounds of ribs washed and patted dry
Sauces:
in a 1 cup meas. (by the time everything is in.. it's about to overflow :))
1/4c OO
1/4c brewed coffee
3T vinegar- white
T prepared mustard
T soy sauce
1/2 can tomato soup concentrate
3T brown sugar
3T chopped garlic
2t rosemary
2t thyme
1/4-1/2 t pepper
In Remaining Can of tomato soup add:
3T brown sugar
6 shakes of Red Hot
2T prepared bbq sauce
Cover the first layer with the mea cup sauce then the can sauce
layer the rest of pork ribs on top and pour remaining cup sauce on, then the can sauce.
cook on low at least 8 hours.
To Serve with
Sauteed Cabbage
cut up 1 head of each color cabbage (green and purple)
Slice 1 yellow onion into half rings
saute the onion in OO for 2-3 min until browned and soft-
add garlic and green onion whites- chopped - cook 30 sec
add cabbage & shredded carrots & turn.. cook until wilted, about 3 minutes
waiting to see what i'll add. last time it was too vinegary. i'm goin to search for a new 'cipe
need 1T vinegar to retain cabbage color.
