Hair can be such a hassle. Since letting my coarse, thick, processed-more-than-just-a-few-times hair grow longer I have been in constant search of good conditioner. Generally speaking I am always up for new products. But in this case I just want GOOD product. Can't something out there satisfy me? Well, it seems that maybe, just maybe, something can. I was having a decent time with Redken All Soft but it the conditioner just wasn't doing it for me. If you ask me, it's all about the conditioner. Sure, there are some shampoos that are better than others but the conditioner is what makes it when you have hair like mine. So, my most recent trip to Target brought me closer to hair happiness than I have been in a while. Of course I try not to be a product-snob, I truly believe that drug store brands and department store brands are all made of the same stuff. And I try really hard to buy products that are natural and organic or have more eco-friendly practices but I won't lie; I am often seduced by the blurbs I read in magazines and I love going to Macy's or Nordstrom or (gasp) Sephora. Ahhh, product heaven. OK, so back to my point. Good old Target and L'Oreal and Modern Organic Products have come together to make me very happy. Yup, L'Oreal VIVE Dry Defense leaves my hair feeling soft and, at the sake of sounding just just like a hair commercial, managable. I also bought some leave-in conditioner by Modern Organic Products (mop) that made my hair a little crunchy when it dried but it brushed right out and was shiny and smooth. Good stuff.
