I wish I had been crafty this weekend. I did get out all my goods to make marble magnets but the inspiration left as quickly as it came. Just like a man, that inspiration. I did spend some time yesterday teaching myself some basic HTML (now I know what these tags mean!) and also figured out how to access the space provided by my ISP. Other that that I attended a wedding (my first Jewish wedding) and did some laundry. Oh joy. The thing about the wedding was this - it was during the day up north just inland from the coast. A beautiful spot in a nature preserve up in the hills. It was hot. And it was outside. Now the reception had pretty tables set up with large white umbrellas surrounding them. Still, shade was at a premium so as soon as we sat down we nabbed one of the extra umbrellas that had been pushed off to the side. Soon all the extra umbrellas were being used by the guests to provide extra shade - which is exactly what they were intended for. The buffet was served by table so when it was our turn we got up, loaded our plates with yummy vegetarian fare and came back to the table... only to discover that another table had taken one of our umbrellas! Now it's a wedding and it's not appropriate to get verbal but the table next to us (the ones who had taken it) already had 4 or 5 umbrellas! Granted, they were old folks but come on! Of course I had been drinking wine and champagne all day so I did make a comment loud enough to be heard but we left it at that. My shoulders are a lovely shade of pink and I'm pretty sure that Kelly nearly had a heat stroke (maybe it was just exhaustion) which caused us to leave early. What is this world coming to anyway?
